| Atelier Venklikk is me, Yukiko M Haufmann, working in a tiny studio at home in Oslo, Norway. I first fell in love with lampwork beads called "Tombo dama", focal beads in Japanese style. I just didn't understand that it could be possible to make something so beautiful out of glass ! I started making beads myself in January 2004 with much help from the lampworking friends of mine in Japan. I try to master both Japanese and American/European type of beads making and practising both techniques. Generally I use Effetre and Vetrofond for American/European type beads and Satake for Japanese type focal beads. I am a member of European forum for lampworker, "GLASS harmony". I thank you Laura, who created this wonderful European forum for lampworker, and all the members of it. You guys saved me from loneliness of lampworking in Norway! |
